Celebs
EACH week Van Insurance scours the country in search of van driving super stars. We are sorry to report; yet again we have drawn a blank!
But while our search has proven fruitless, Van Insurance can reveal the hottest celebrities behind the hottest wheels.
SIMON COWELL
The music Svengali has given his ex-girlfriend a parting gift, worth a staggering £5.6m
The X factor judge has reportedly given Teri Seymour over £3m in cash and around £2.5m to buy a new house in Beverley Hills.
“Terri phoned Simon about six weeks ago and finished it, says a source: “Simon thinks the world of Terri, and that isn’t going to change. He also understands her reason for ending it.”
Friends say Seymour was keen to marry and have children, but Cowell insists he is not the marrying kind and that celebrity marriages never work.
"She wants a different path in life, and I totally respect her for it. I think in relationships, you have to be totally honest. I have always been and I know Terri knows that, says Cowell.
"Bottom line is I am married to my job. When people moan about been a celebrity, I think 'Oh please, sort yourself out - it's the greatest job in the world.' I wake up daily thanking my lucky stars, but to throw marriage into that mix is not right. I have seen too many celebrity marriages that on paper make a great mix, fall apart through ego and just plain celebrity madness."
Cowell is one of the richest moguls in the music business. He recently splashed out £750,000 on a Bugatti Veyron - the world's most expensive and fastest street-legal car.
PAUL RUDD
The former Friends star was such a fan of Adam Ant that he tried to emulate his style in the Eighties by shaving a receding hairline – thankfully his mother stopped him mid tracks.
The echo friendly actor, who drives a Toyota hybrid, was a massive fan of the New Romantic dandy and almost went too far in his desire to be like his hero.
"I was in a big Adam Ant phase and I asked my mom if I could shave the front of my hair to give myself eea receding hairline like Adam Ant, says Rudd.
"And she said, 'No f**king way am I going to let you do that!' "I didn't get what a receding hairline was; I just thought it looked really cool."
PARIS HILTON
The hotel heiress has taken up Pilates hoping to tone her body for her new fragrance ad campaign.
The socialite is preparing to launch her latest scent, Fairy Dust, and wants to look a million dollars.
"I didn’t have to lose weight, but I just wanted to look really good. I started doing Pilates, says Hilton
Commenting on the launch of her fifth fragrance, Hilton says, "I just love Tinkerbell and fairies, so I thought it would be really fun.”
The reality star has a pet Chihuahua named Tinkerbell, and once released a book in the dog's honour, dubbed The Tinkerbell Hilton Diaries: My Life Tailing Paris Hilton.
Meanwhile, in other news, Hilton who is keen to promote environmental issues has exposed her ignorance on US TV’s Larry King show. When asked which car was her dream car, she said “I’ve just ordered a Hummer hybrid”. Hummer, a company that has been criticised for its gas guzzling cars, commented “such a car doesn’t exit”.
EMMA WATSON
The Harry Potter star is annoyed by press reports that she is playing the field and has told fans not to believe everything they read in the newspapers.
Watson, who at 18 has amassed a £10m fortune from playing a lead role in the wizard franchise, says finding Mr Right is no easy task.
"I've been linked to so many guys that I sound like a wanton woman! Says Watson, who famously exited a chauffeur driven limousine on her 18th birthday flashing a smile and her knickers.
"People say, 'Oh, boys must be lining up for you.' It's really not that easy. I suppose guys are either intimidated by me and have their defences up or like to take the Mickey (make fun) out of me.
"On set, I'm surrounded by cute, older guys. It's a minefield, to be honest. It's stressful."
OPRAH WINFREY
